The design challenge was to make a flashlight and make a working light that won't burn out. Some of the things I learned where that if you put the battery exactly on the LED it will burn out and you need to restart. Also that the resistor is important for the LED to work. I think I did ok on it the 3D part was hard. First I had to make a 3D design of a flashlight. Then I made The LED turn on by soldering and putting it together. From doing this project I got better at 3D printing and and soldering. Things I struggled with were that the measurements were off by a little. My flashlight cannot be completed because it's impossible to put my finger in their and put the Button in.
Signal Light reflection 03/06/19
The design challenge was to make a signal light representing a Stop light. Some of the things I learned were that it is hard to code it. Also putting it together is hard. It also has a walk light that lasts 12 seconds and the last 8 seconds, to code that it was difficult and it took so long. It will flash when the timer ends it will stop and the light will turn off like in the video. I think I did good because I completed it on time and it works. The two SLO that I learned were that Mastering skills needed in career and college and Applying technological skills for the 21st century I choose the first one because im learning how to build this I can get a career on Mechatronics and I choose the second one because im applying computer programs to this like pi idle. Overall the most important things I have learned in this class this year are that its hard to put these things together and make something else. These skills I have learned in this class will help me in the future by giving me more possibility for a career.
