During the class of English the learning objectives are to learn how to write proper essays is english. This is valuable to my future because I can improve my English writing and speaking.
The project that I am submitting as an artifact for English had the following learning objectives, Integrate and evaluate multiple sources of information presented in different media or formats as well as in words in order to address a question or solve a problem, Cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text, including determining where the text leaves matters uncertain. I practiced the learning objective of integrate and evaluate multiple sources of information presented in different media or formats as well as in words in order to address a question or solve a problem when we read about the Japanese in our country and we read different articles and watch a video about it then we wrote on another paper what the evidence was and the explanation of the video. I practiced the learning objective of Citing strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text, including determining where the text leaves matters uncertain when I did the Essay which is the project i'm submitting as an artifact we have to cite sources from the book Unbroken then we had to put evidence to support it. The assignment was to write an essay about the Life Lessons that Louis Zamperini can teach us and required me to write a 750 word essay about that. The Process I went through to do this project and meet the learning objectives first started with was reading the book.then we had to go back and look for lessons that Louis showed during his life.
Throughout this process listed above, I have realized I have learned more about writing essays and we used a different technique this time. These link back to the learning objectives by showing I have practiced my english my writing an essay that will be graded on punctuation.
The Two School-Wide Learning Outcomes I demonstrated with this Artifact are Applying technological skills for the 21st century and Thinking critically and creatively. I have demonstrated applying technological skills for the 21st century in this project because I wrote this essay on a computer and this is important because I'm getting better with computers and learning more about them. I have demonstrated thinking critically and creatively in this project because I had to think about what lessons im going to use for the essay and what i'm going to write about.
One thing I would like to improve upon for my next big project is better spelling and the way I write my sentences. One goal I would like to set up for myself for my next project is to write more words and to get to one thousand words or two thousand words. Overall this was beneficial to my learning in English because I got better at writing essays and improved my English.
